Head Volleyball Coach

Responsible for all aspects in leading a competitive NAIA volleyball program and provide the necessary leadership and to plan, organize, and to carry out the objectives of the university athletic program.

Speech Communications Adjunct Instructor

This is an on-campus/face-to-face adjunct position. Teaching duties include 3 credit hours per semester in speech communications. The number of courses/hours taught could increase if there is a demand for more sections. Works collaboratively with the Department Chair or Dean for assigned courses. Promotes student success through development of program learning outcomes and course learning outcomes. Proactive member of the Aggie CARE (Compassion, Accessible, Respect, Empathy) Community. Upholds the OPSU Faculty Promise. Follows university policies and procedures, the university faculty handbook and teaching standards set forth by the university. Instructors are evaluated each semester by students through course evaluations and undergo an annual faculty performance review.

Instructor/Assistant Professor of Health and Physical Education

Full time position in the Health and Physical Education Department will begin August 2024. Must be able to teach on-campus. Responsibilities include teaching 12-15 hours per semester (27-30 hours per year) with the possibility of summer teaching assignment(s). Instructional coursework may include a variety of Health and Physical Education areas, as well as other courses yet to be determined. In addition, assisting with the departmental assessment process, academic mentoring/tutoring, participation in scholarly activities, service to the university, the profession, and the community and fulfilling university responsibilities as needed are requirements of this position. To assist with the supervision and coordination of the University’s overall athletic training program, including, but not limited to: injury prevention, evaluation, management, and treatment of athletic injuries, short-term and long rehabilitation of athletic injuries, with and under the supervision of the Head Athletic Trainer, Team Physician, and other qualified medical personnel.

Director of Hispanic Student Center

The Director of the Hispanic Student Center (HSC) is responsible for the development and oversight of programs and services which foster success, satisfaction and enhancement of the university experience. Particular emphasis is placed on the implementation of a university-wide strategy designed to increase the recruitment, matriculation, support, retention, and ultimate graduation of students designated as under-represented enrolled at Oklahoma Panhandle State University (OPSU). Additionally, the Director will develop, pilot, and oversee programs and services that will support and enhance the academic, social, emotional, and overall success of students designated as under-represented as well as the entire HSC student body based on the goals and objectives of the Title V HSI Grant.

Assistant Professor of Education (Reading Specialist)

Full time position in Education to begin August 2023. Responsibilities include teaching foundations of reading, field experience practicum, methods and materials in reading, and educational technology courses; serving on Teacher Education Council; supervising student interns and residency teachers, and other duties as assigned.
